Prior to having the wisdom teeth removed, the patient underwent an oral checkup and a panoramic x-ray.
Position is assessed. Before removing a tooth, local anaesthetic is used to numb the affected region. The wisdom tooth's gum is removed when the dentist makes sure there is appropriate numbness. When a wisdom tooth becomes impacted and is hidden by bone, the bone is removed and the tooth is made visible. At this point, the tooth is extracted if there are any tissues keeping it in place. If required, the dentist will use sutures to join the tissues together to complete the procedure.
