They are fixed prostheses prepared within 1 – 7 days after the implant operation and used by screwing to the implants.
During the recovery period after implant placement (between 2 and 4 months), permanent prostheses cannot be made to the patient. Because after the implants are placed in the jawbone, it is necessary to wait for osseointegration (fusion with the bone). During this period, both osseointegration is completed and soft tissue healing takes its final shape. At the request of the patients, some temporary removable prostheses can be made during this waiting period. However, temporary removable prostheses can cause problems in terms of dental implant healing. Thanks to more detailed research on implants and our developing technological infrastructure, we can now place fixed temporary teeth on implants within 1-7 days after the dentate implant operation.
When the necessary operational conditions for the construction of fixed temporary prosthesis are provided, the healing problems that can be caused by temporary prostheses can be screwed to the implants at a minimum. As the complications of temporary removable prostheses are quite high, they are rarely preferred by physicians. If a fixed temporary prosthesis cannot be made, it is generally expected that the recovery period will pass without a temporary tooth.
